Iris Kirby House (IKH) approached us with rebranding their non-for-profit women’s shelter & resource centre. During information gathering with IKH, we heard stories of women transformed through the programs offered. Often, victims of violence in the home came out of the program empowered to overcome their own situations – some went on to teach the programs as well.
We explored this idea of “transformation” and illustrated a dynamic fluttering butterfly, one specific to Newfoundland, the Silvery Blue. We coloured the butterfly with blues and purples, representing violence awareness & prevention.
The resulting brand is approachable, hopeful, and full of positive light and change.
